2016 Chevrolet Malibu Teen Driver Mode Encourages Safety: Ad Break

Handing the keys of your brand new car over to your hormone-raging teenager is probably not an easy thing to do, but with the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu parents can worry less thanks to its Teen Driver Mode.

As explained in the brief, minute-long video you are about to watch, the 2016 Malibu offers a feature that allows parents to view the driving behaviors of their teenagers after the vehicle has made it safely (or not) back home. Parents can even register a key fob specifically for their teen, which allows them to govern the max speed of the vehicle when that fob is being used.

  1. I know it’s a bit of an invasion of privacy, but wouldn’t it make sense for the emergency flashers to activate after, say, 5 min of beltless driving?

    Not just for teens. And I know people who’ve purchased a belt clip and plug it in so they can drive beltlessly. Which is weird, but whatever …
