Chevrolet sells two variants of Cruze in the world. There’s the lesser engineered example for China, and the North American market Cruze. When it comes to developing countries like Brazil and Argentina, it wasn’t clear which would make its way, but Chevrolet has cleared that up for us.
Chevrolet Argentina announced the 2016 Cruze will be available this year, and manufactured at the GM Automotive Complex in Rosario, Sante Fe.
“We are very proud to introduce the new Cruze, a sophisticated, elegant and advanced technology that ushers in a new generation of vehicles in the automobile industry. This is a historic moment for Argentina and GM Chevrolet at the regional level, because Argentina is one of four countries in the world to produce this vehicle as representative for the brand , “said Carlos Zarlenga President of GM Argentina.
Much like the U.S. market Cruze, the new vehicle will arrive with a 1.4-liter turbocharged EcoTec engine, mated to either a six-speed automatic or manual gearbox. The Cruze will also usher in a new era for Chevrolet Argentina with the introduction of OnStar. 24/7, OnStar representatives will be available to assist customers through a variety of needs.
Automatic climate control, cruise control, ABS, a rear-view camera and much more may be had on the Argentinian-market Cruze, making for a much more upmarket push.
The 2016 Cruze will arrive in LT, LTZ, and LTZ plus. The plus is mated exclusively to an automatic gearbox, with a manual transmission optional on the other two trims. Look for the 2016 Cruze to arrive later this year in the country.

I think that front end looks nicer than the one we got in NA. It has the sporty look while being sophisticated and classy. Elements I loved about Chevrolet’s of the 50’s/60’s. And elements that are found moreso in new Buick/GMC products instead of Chevrolet’s unfortunately for many of us Chevy guys.
But we DO get that front-end in North America. It’s on every Cruze not equipped with the RS package.
But I love the RS Package
Could be worse. If they imported the Vauxhall Astra, they might claim they own rights to it.
