Following the news of Cadillac’s latest public relations agency of record, its global ad agency, Publicis New York, has brought on new talent.
Andy Clarke, formerly of Arnold Worldwide, has joined the Publicis team, and he will become the executive creative director for the agency’s account that concerns us: Cadillac.
“I’m always attracted to luxury brands, as well as iconic brands, and Cadillac is a summation of both those,” Clarke told Agency Spy. “There is a tremendous spirit about Publicis New York and it feels like Andy Bird and Carla Serrano could be onto something quite special. I want to be part of that.”
Clarke has quite the history with the kind of brand Cadillac would love to hold a candle to. Notably, Clarke spent much of his professional career with Rolex, where he served as executive creative director. However, a few other notable names include Mercedes-Benz, Jack Daniels, Lexus and Porsche.
Clarke will will report to CCO Andy Bird, who was appointed to that position last June. Coincidentally, Bird held the position of ECD for Cadillac while he was based in London.
