Opel Mokka Wins Connectivity Award For OnStar System

Opel has been bestowed yet another accolade for its connectivity and innovation. The Opel Mokka, which has also won two “All-wheel drive car of the year” awards, was recognized and awarded for its connectivity features in Opel OnStar.

Auto Bild Allrad presented the Opel Mokka with its award after the publication was amazed with the features and services built in to the system.

“This Editors Award shows just how important connectivity is to the trade press. And we are a pioneer in this sector,” said Albrecht Schäfer, head of product marketing Opel Germany, who accepted the trophy from the hands of Auto Bild Allrad editor-in-chief Bernhard Weinbacher. “Around 50 percent of all new Opel models now have OnStar in board. Our personal connectivity and service assistant is fully in line with the current trend and convinces our customers.”

Opel OnStar houses 24/7 connectivity with automatic crash response, stolen vehicle and roadside assistance and a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to seven devices. Opel OnStar continues to roll out to additional vehicles as you read this.
