Neslon Racing Chevrolet COPO Camaro Said To Reach 260 MPH, Will Run Texas Mile: Video

The team at Nelson Racing Engines, makers of the ‘Alien’ intake, are planning on running a Chevrolet COPO Camaro that is said to be capable of reaching 260 miles per hour in the upcoming 2016 Texas Mile.

While the COPO Camaro shown in this video isn’t ready for the strip just yet, though it does run and drive. At this point it just needs to be dialed in. What we’re shown is an almost erotic detour of the Camaro’s undercarriage – starting in the rear with the parachutes and carbon fiber diffuser, then flaunting those snazzy transmission coolers, and slowly moving down the driveshaft. There’s fuel lines (it’s got 2 fuel systems, yes, 2), oil lines, and transmission cooler lines galore. If you’re not entirely sure what you’re looking at, video host and NRE owner Tom Nelson (camera guy) identifies each component for you.

The real treat, though, is under the hood of the Camaro – a 632 cubic inch V8, with two hefty turbochargers, and that low-profile Alien intake.

We know you’re just itching to click play, so go ahead, and enjoy the fine craftsmanship.
