NASCAR Drivers Showcase The Latest Chevrolet Silverado Special Editions: Video

Chevrolet took to the Texas Motor Speedway this past weekend to introduce yet another Silverado special edition. NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Larson, Kasey Khane and Austin Dillion were each assigned a Silverado, and fans are encouraged to vote for their favorite via the Chevy Truck twitter page.

Each driver tries to make their case for a vote, with Earnhardt Jr. talking up the 22-inch wheels and racing stripes with the Rally edition, Khane playing up the pitch-black appearance of his Midnight edition, Dillion expressing the genuine Realtree camouflage and Larson using the 2500’s macho stance to win votes.

Chevrolet continues to segment the market with special editions, which has helped the brand move trucks at a rapid rate, and command higher transaction prices, while bringing in younger buyers. The special editions certainly won’t stop here.

  1. Enough already with the endless “Monster Truck” editions. Would think a NASCAR inspired truck would be lowered and with wide tires and a handling package to link it to the race trucks in NASCAR. Ever see the SCA Performance version? How about one from the Factory.

    1. I couldn’t agree more. I’d bet a large percentage of the these jacked-up trucks ‘off-road’ experience is driving down a gravel road, wow, 90% of their mileage on asphalt if not all. Yes, yes, where are the sport/handling packages (SS) ? … which in my books means MORE horsepower, naturally, not just decals, etc.. (oh, and loose the black wheel thing).

  2. Wow what a deal! More cheap paint and stickers from the studio’s of JC Whitney and a PEP Boys big wheel and tire combo. Wow that’s special.

  3. Guess black wheels hide the brake dust?
