If you’ve never ridden in a racecar before, riding in a NASCAR Chevrolet SS with former Formula 1 driver and current IndyCar pilot Max Chilton is a good way to become assimilated with the experience.
Chilton recently gave his girlfriend a ride in one of Chip Ganassi Racing’s NASCAR stock cars at the 74th Goodwood Members Meeting, scaring her a good bit in the process. To her credit, even experienced racecar drivers can become nervous riding in racecars with other people, so we’re withholding any judgments.
Chilton, who competed in the Indy Lights series in 2015 after being left without a Formula 1 seat following the end of the 2014 season, made his IndyCar debut at the 2016 St. Petersburg Grand Prix early last month. He finished 17th in the debut event, which was won by fellow Chevy driver Juan Pablo Montoya.
Racing with CGR, Chilton is schedule to race in every event on the IndyCar schedule this year. The series will head to Phoenix International Raceway next for the Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix, which will go green at 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd.

They both talk funny. It’s like they grew up in an island somewhere.
