This isn’t specific to just a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, but the folks at Chemical Guys picked a glorious vehicle to demonstrate proper waxing technique with.
Yours truly is a big fan of Chemical Guys product, and I have personally used the “50/50” carnauba paste wax. Highly recommended.
Anyway, the gentleman in the video shows how to properly apply a coat of wax featuring the 1969 Camaro. You may or may not be surprised to realize the road circular motions people normally go with is a big no-no. Instead, wiping the applicator across the surface, and making sure the paint is coated with the wax, will provide much better results.
Succumbing to the circular motion is a great way to leave buffing marks in the paint, and it looks pretty awful when the sun catches the glossy finish. The straight lines ensure an even coating with the product, instead.
Check out the quick video above to see it all in action.
