If there is any one company obsessed with speed, it would be Hennessey Performance Engineering. The guys and gals have made it a mission to take a vehicle, and make it go like a bat out of hell. The crème de la crème from Hennessey is the Venom GT and GT Spyder.
Why? Because it’s stupid fast with its twin-turbo 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine. HPE set out to see how quick its Venom GT Spyder would go last month, and recorded a record-breaking 265.6 mph on a 2.9-mile long runway. Eat your heart out, Bugatti.
However, the Bugatti is a sanctioned manufacturer vehicle, and the Venom GT doesn’t technically hold any records because of its kit-car like build process. Still, Hennessey recognizes it. And you should too. Check out the behind the scenes featuring John Hennessey up above.
