First 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition Nets $150,000 For Charity

The first production 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition was joined by the first production 2017 C7 Corvette Grand Sport at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction, where both found new homes, and proceeds went to charity.

The 2017 Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition in particular went for a cool $150,000, just $20,000 less than the C7 Corvette Grand Sport. We personally thought this special Camaro would fetch a bit of a larger sum, but the final auction price of the vehicle has gone to benefit The United Way of Southeastern Michigan.

The 2017 Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition received a few unique cues to signify its importance on the Camaro’s timeline, including the Nightfall Gray Metallic paint and bright orange splashes of color throughout the interior and exterior. “Fifty” badging also signifies the Camaro’s golden anniversary, too.

If you couldn’t pony up the cash for the first production Anniversary Edition, Chevrolet will deliver the special Camaro this coming summer.
