Chevrolet Captiva Gets The Camper Treatment In Japan

We’re no experts on the Japanese culture, but judging by this latest product introduction, we’d venture to guess the Japanese like to go camping. Chevrolet has introduced a special “camper” variant of the Captiva crossover for the Japanese market, and it’s ready for whatever you may throw at it.

Yes, this is a normal Chevrolet Captiva, but this Captiva comes with a portable refrigerator, a kitchen sink (which may also double as a shower), a bed, LED lantern and more. All of this may fit in the Captiva’s thermo-protected camper portion, or around the campsite.

Talk about being special, too, because Chevrolet has limited the sale of this camper edition to only 50 vehicles across the entire country of Japan. The seven-seater Captiva can clearly do more than just haul the kids around; the Captiva can be your camper lifeblood.
