Chevrolet, Buick and GMC Expanding Military Discount Programs This May

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, General Motors has announced Chevrolet, Buick and GMC will expand military discounts to the 21 million military veterans and their spouses.

“These brave men and women have done so much for our country,” said Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. sales and service. “Making sure all veterans can take advantage of our military discount to celebrate Military Appreciation Month is one small way we can express our gratitude.”

GM offers the most comprehensive military discount program, extending benefits to personnel one year after separation with the armed forces. For the month of May, however, GM will waive the separation date and extend the benefits no matter the separation date.

Not only does GM honor the U.S. military with its benefits, but the automaker remains at the forefront of veteran employment. The Hiring Our Heroes program has placed over 500,000 veterans in new job positions since 2012.
