Ahhh, the box of chocolates that is Craigslist. We’ll never know what we’re going to get on any given day. This time, our search brought us to this obscurely cool 1980 Chevrolet Malibu 4 door station wagon, which has been converted into a “2 door sedan delivery.” It resides in the Seattle, WA area, and has an asking-price of $3,000.
The seller considers it to be a “very unique hot rod,” with its Cragar wheels and rebuilt 350 small block engine. The engine and transmission are not currently installed, and if you opted to purchase the vehicle without the engine, the price would drop to $1,800. This wouldn’t be a bad move if you happen to have an engine sitting around and are looking for literally anything that you could stuff it into. It’s kind of like an 80’s American version of the Holden Sandman, if you will.
What’s all included with the white Malibu delivery sedan, then, you ask? Well, to name some of the ever so appealing highlights, it’s got a dark red interior, bucket seats, a SunPro tachometer, and a Panasonic CD player (ooh, fancy!). The dual-exhaust with Cherry Bomb glass packs adds a bit of rowdiness, as well.
We don’t find it to be a terrible deal for its price. In fact, we think it could be something to take to car shows and meets with some elbow grease, though maybe we’re being a bit optimistic. What say you? Check out the listing, then give us your thoughts on this old-school Malibu in the comment section below.

Love it. Long a fan of that vintage of Malibu’s and Camino’s.
