NCM Motorsports Park Welcomes All To Trek At The Track

NCM Motorsports Park has begun to open its gates to all those who wish to jog, walk, go for a bike ride, or go inline skating on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 7 PM as part of its new “Trek @ the Track” program.

The program had officially kicked off on March 15th, and it allows participants to utilize the 3.15 mile paved road course as an open grounds for outdoor activities. The park even welcomes pets as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.

This isn’t the first the track will be used in such a way, as NCM Motorsports Park hosts a number of fundraising running and walking events every year, such as the Monster Dash and Checkered Flag Chase which benefit Joseph’s Hope and the Alzheimer’s Association respectively.

With light elevation changes and a number of configurations visitors can pick the length and difficulty of their trek, and thanks to the adequate spacing they can set their own pace comfortably. The park also offers its 22-acre flat paved paddock as the ideal area for those who wish to do speed work. After their trek, visitors can utilize the on-site showers and head over to the picnic area at the Kimberlee A. Fast Pavilion. There’s free, convenient parking, too.

To us it sounds like the ideal ‘safe and family-friendly’ place to go on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, wouldn’t you agree? Maybe this will help smooth things over with those cranky neighbors.
