Hennessey Performance Engineering Tests The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V HPE750: Video

The dyno run videos uploaded by aftermarket tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering are pleasing for sure, but it’s a real treat when we get to see their products in live action. For instance, in this video you’ll witness the brow-raising performance of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V fitted with the HPE750 package.

The exact figures for the LT4-powered Cadillac super sedan are 757 horsepower and 782 lb-ft of torque. It sprints from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds, and crosses the quarter-mile mark in 11.2 seconds at 131 miles per hour. Compared to a completely stock CTS-V, its about half a second quicker at the strip. The real gains are more observable from 0 to 150 mph, which goes from 17.8 seconds in stock form to 15.4 with the package. Additionally, the top speed goes from 200 to 210 mph.

The package doesn’t just bring enhanced performance, but exclusivity as well. It includes individually numbered dash and engine plaques, exterior badging, premium floormats, and optional Hennessey H10 monoblock wheels. Go ahead and click play to see the CTS-V HPE750 in action.

Companies like Hennessey Performance may need to consider spending some money to develop the technology for battery powered electrical propulsion systems because in less than a decade the mileage for each car needs to reach 54 miles per gallon which means for a large vehicle like Cadillac’s CTS would be virtually impossible to accomplished using gas powered engines and must switched to EV as even the Corvette may need to become a EV.
