Drill No More: C6 Corvette Aero-Plate Offers A Handy Solution

If you live in a state cursed by front license plate regulation, you know the hardship. Mounting a front plate to your vehicle requires drilling into the front bumper, and utterly ruining the flow of design surrounding the front fascia. The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu in particular looks horrendous once it has been tainted with this regulation (thanks, Ohio, New Jersey and others).

However, there are numerous solutions, and Corvette Blogger has highlighted one for C6 Corvette owners to take note of. A Corvette enthusiast and NCRS judge has revealed the Aero-Plate, a solution that requires no drilling for a front plate.

The Aero-Plate uses a lightweight bracket, and utilizes present screw locations, plus velcro tabs for easy installation, and a seamless look. And, the bracket can be mounted in plate-up or plate-down configurations to fit both the coupe and convertible.

It’s not the cheapest solution, ringing in at $149 for the black mount and $169 for the polished look, but it beats a pesky vehicle violation coupled by a hefty fine from the local police.
