Cadillac Design Auctioning A Behind The Scenes Design Experience

RM Sotheby’s is normally responsible for some very high end machinery to pass through its auction, but this experience earns the same stamp of approval.

Cadillac Design is auctioning off a behind the scenes experience of the General Motors Global Design Center in Michigan, where the winning bidder will be Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn‘s, personal guest.

The design center itself has earned marks of high praise, being named a National Historic Landmark and recognized by the world’s architectural cognoscenti as a “Most Outstanding Architectural Achievements of its Era.”

The evening’s plans will be suited to any diehard Cadillac enthusiast, and include sitting in on a Cadillac Design brainstorming session and sketch blitz, followed by fine dining with top Cadillac designers and a facility tour of this architectural masterpiece. The evening concludes with a private design review with Welburn in the Virtual Reality Studio.

However, Cadillac states there may be a few surprised tucked away with the evening, mentioning a test ride in “one of the latest concepts” or even a “historical great.”

The experience is to be auctioned off on March 12, 2016 at the Amelia Island auction. We certainly would like to have our checkbooks ready.
