It’s a given we follow up every new vehicle debut with a Hot or Not posting. Sometimes, it’s obvious what the overwhelming response will be, and that’s likely to be the case when you all head down below to cast your votes surrounding the looks of the 2017 C7 Corvette Grand Sport.
Chevrolet pulled the wraps off its latest Corvette variant at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and said wraps were hiding some sexy sheetmetal. The 2017 Corvette Grand Sport infuses Z06 looks with the pedigree of more pedestrian C7 Corvette Stingray.
What does that mean? A C7 Z06 inspired grille is present, wider wheel arches and front inserts mimic the Grand Sport’s supercharged brother. Unique Grand Sport wheels also help set the Corvette apart from other C7s.
Now, how about the interior? Specifically, the Grand Sport Collector Edition. We’re utterly in love with the Tension Blue suede and leather wrapping, which creates an incredibly pleasing contrast with the Watkins Glen Gray exterior color. Ditto on the Tension Blue hashmarks for the front fenders.
If you couldn’t tell, we like it. And we’re pretty certain you all do, too. Nonetheless, head to the link below to vote, and talk to us in the comment section below.

Not “only” hot, is awesome¡¡
Mechanical specs are great… But Tension Blue gives me a headache. Would like to have the Watkins Glen Grey available with a saddle interior. The balance of the updates to this trim level are exceptional…by far the most complete drivers Vette offered for the C7.
I like the looks of the Grand Sport but “another gray”, the Corvette designers have been through several grays already. Maybe they should go back to Blade Silver or some sort of Metallic Silver. To me the Tension Blue just “does not” fit the C7, it looks like a Custom Car Shop interior but to each his own.
Shark Gray?
Next build a lightweight NA 500+ hp hardtop with a trunk similar to the C6 Z06. Drop 200lbs in the process.
One thing that might have made the 2017 C7 Corvette Grand Sport even hotter might be a zero cost optional LF4 464 horsepower twin-turbo 3.6L DOHC-4v V6 borrowed from Cadillac’s ATS-V as it’s a bit lighter than the 6.2L V8 and might be a bit faster.
Dude the next time you come up with a really good idea, keep it to yourself! That has got to be the worst idea I have ever heard.
Like it but please dump the skunk stripes on the fenders….
The wheels are the optional C6 “Cup” wheels from 2012-13? Look up 2012 Z06 or ZR1 Centennial edition, same wheels except those had a red stripe. Same wheel was again available on 2013 Z06, ZR1 and 427 conv. Nice wheel design, but surprises me they didn’t have a new unique wheel for the GS 4-5 years later. I guess it’s possible these are C6 “leftovers”?
The car looks great. The interior may look much better when seeing up close, but it is not bad now.
The Stingray took over the previous Grand Sport; the new Grand Sport took over the previous Z06 and the Z06 took over the last ZR1. Maybe the new ZR1 will be mid engine.
Maybe a retuned ECM and more power than the Stingray, that would be nice.
