The 2016 Vauxhall-Opel Astra has cleaned up in the awards category thus far. The latest honor comes from the United Kingdom, where Vauxhall has to clear space on the shelf for the 2016 Astra’s UK Car of the Year honor.
The 2016 Vauxhall Astra delighted judges in the extremely competitive category the vehicle resides in, excelling in design, performance and equipment.
John Challen, UKCOTY co-founder, commented: “Vauxhall has shaken up the C-segment with the Astra. Big improvements in refinement, quality and driving dynamics are to be applauded.” Elsewhere, the Astra was described as “a consummate all-rounder thanks to space, comfort and quality in combination with a refined drive and great handling,” by consumer motoring journalist and also co-founder of the UK Car of the Year Awards, Alisdair Suttie.
OnStar become a real highlight with the judges, and the service itself has been praised by UK critiques, scooping up its own Auto Express Technology and the BusinessCar Techies Awards.
