2016 Buick Cascada Really Is A Buick: Ad Break

Buick found success with its first ever Super Bowl ad last month, featuring the 2016 Buick Cascada convertible. The advertising blitz isn’t stopping there, though.

The brand has released a followup to the main spot, still surrounding the wedding and the same characters who are puzzled as to how the 2016 Cascada is a Buick. It’s a Buick gents, we promise.

Altogether, the ad does an excellent job at portraying Buick as an approachable, more youth-oriented brand. Frankly, the best part of the ad is the ending, where Buick takes a cheeky shot at the older folks and a bystander Lexus.

Buick looks to continue building its branding momentum as it heads into the first half of 2016 with the launch of the 2017 Buick LaCrosse, and the reveal of the 2017 Buick Encore.

  1. Test drove a Buick Cascada a couple of weeks ago. It is actually a very nice car. Not a hot rod, mind you, but a solid and pleasant convertible. If you look it over and didn’t know the price, you would guess it to cost thousands more. Nicely detailed all around. We are planning to purchase a blue model currently on order by our local dealer. My wife loves convertibles and was extremely pleased with what she saw here. By the way, all of the reviews criticize the number of buttons on the dash. For the most part, once you know the layout this should not be an issue as most are used very seldom. They just offer customization or are for specialized use.

  2. I really like the design language. It’s not built for BMW-like speed but it’s more than adequate. I don’t see this as a halo car, though, but simply a niche offering. Design is rapidly changing, more is expected as each design become bejewled and more elaborate. The new Buick face would be a helpful facelift.

  3. I only had opportunity to touch the car. It was sold and leaving with the new owner. My question is, will an option provide memory seats?? Dealer didn’ think so. Bummer! If not why not???
