A few days ago, we rendered a black Cadillac XT5 Midnight Edition — a package that essentially blacks out the various exterior chrome trim pieces of a vehicle. Following the publication of our rendering, the general response to the idea of a Midnight package for the 2017 Cadillac XT5 as well as to the rendering itself was overwhelmingly positive. However, we also heard your pleas to see an XT5 Midnight in white — and that’s exactly what we have for you here.
As before, we imagine that an XT5 Midnight Edition would black out the following exterior elements:
- Wheels (we used Cadillac ATS accessory wheels, RPO 5XZ)
- Grille
- Foglight housing trim
- Front skid plate
- Daylight opening (DLO) surround, or the trim around the windows
- Mirror caps and bases
- Roof rails
- Body-side trim piece
The white body gives the vehicle even more character, with the result being is a midsize luxury crossover that isn’t only elegant, but one that also has a more sinister style and personality compared to a “regular” XT5. No wonder why black-out packages have become all the rage in the luxury car space.
So now, the only thing left is for Cadillac is to offer the Midnight Package for the XT5. Right? Sound off in the comments.

This has nothing to do with a concept car. It’s a very real and very possible package that can be offered, and soon.
I like it very much! I prefer the black trim instead of chrome, and it keeps itself cleaner, too. The contrast with the white body is very dramatic and attractive.
Offer more body colors to the line, please.
