The 2016 COPO Chevrolet Camaro was one of the many surprised the brand had in store during the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, but we haven’t seen much of the new drag racer in action, until now.
Chevrolet Performance has cut the 2016 COPO Camaro loose in this latest video, and it should delight Camaro and drag racing enthusiasts alike. We’re treated to a few different camera angles as the action unfolds, and the COPO Camaro takes a pass down the quarter mile.
The 2016 COPO Camaro arrives with three powertrain choices for the serious racer, including a supercharged 350 (5.7L), a naturally aspirated 427 (7.0L) engine and an all-new LT-based 376 (6.2L) engine. We’re not entirely sure which engine is under the hood of this particular tester, but we can say it does the job mighty fine, evident in the stout wheelie action upon launch.
