Since part of the Nürburgring race track is a toll road open to the public you’ll sometimes see wildly unexpected vehicles making their way through the F1 turns. In this video titled, “Strangest ‘Things’ at the Nürburgring,” you’ll see a whole mess of vehicles that just don’t seem to belong, it’s quite entertaining really.
The star of the video, if you ask us, is the vintage, pristine Chevrolet stepside pickup in a sparkling blue finish that just puts a smile on your face as you watch it go by (even on your monitor, it’s that appealing). Or it could just as well be the old brown GMC Suburban, seen within the first minute.
Within the first thirty seconds you’ll see a scooter mosey on through the track. What really gave us a kicker were the Opel Combo and Vivaro vans that let the tires squeal as they rounded the curves. Shoot, even an H3 Hummer limousine joins in on the fun. What’s funny is that some of these drivers take the turns with a bit of spirit, including the driver of a DHL van making a pass at about a minute and forty-two seconds into the video.
Think a Vivaro van is whacky? Wait until you see the Mitsubishi camper rolling through the turns. Don’t worry, we haven’t spoiled all of it, hit play and see what else paraded through the Nordschleife.

It is true that it is more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.
Slow day eh?
