The Story Of Why A 2002 Buick Regal GS Became The Perfect 24 Hours Of Lemons Car

Fasten your seatbelts ladies and gents, because you’re in for one hell of a story. We’ll briefly introduce the characters here, and let The Truth About Cars take it from there.

Anyway, why race a 2002 Buick Regal GS? That’s what author Kamil Kaluski was asked point blank one day, and it made him really start to wonder. On the surface, it was because the 2002 Regal GS met all the criteria to become a (coveted?) 24 Hours of Lemons car. It was less than $500.

But, through the story telling and weaving at the story you can find above, a relationship had formed, even after multiple engine swaps. Not only did the Buick prove safe and fairly powerful with its supercharged 3.8-liter V6, but it happened to become an excellent learning vehicle. As they say, drive a slow car fast and you’ll remained focused on driving mechanics over power.

And the rest is history … sort of. Check out the entire debrief at the link above.
