Here Are The Seven Exterior Colors Of The 2017 Cadillac XT5

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be offered in seven exterior colors, according to the order guide for the vehicle. That much we already knew when we published the XT5 order guide several months ago. What we didn’t have were photos of the actual colors.

The 2017 XT5 will be offered in:

  • Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
  • Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic (G1M)
  • Dark Granite Metallic (GXG)
  • Radiant Silver Metallic (GAN)
  • Red Passion Tricoat (G1E)
  • Silver Coast Metallic (GWT)
  • Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)

Each color is an extra-cost option with the exception of Radiant Silver Metallic, which is included in the price of the vehicle. To note, six of the XT5’s colors are identical to six hues offered on the 2017 GMC Acadia, which rides on the same C1XX platform as the XT5 while also being built on the same line at GM’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

So, what do you think of the color lineup? Sound off in the comments.

  1. I love white Cadillacs, in fact 8 of my 14 new Cadillacs have been white. All but one were white diamond or Crystal white tricoat. I wish Cadillac would offer just plain white as a standard color. Crystal white is a $995 option, which I could live without.

  2. Move along people, nothing to see here, just the same muted color palate as the rest of the GM lineup. Cadillac needs to step it up by offering more colors in general, but they also need to have at least a few exclusive colors that aren’t on every other GM vehicle. How about a unique shade of blue or green, black cherry, eggplant, copper etc.? Also, what’s so wrong with offering a non-metallic white and black? Lastly, none of these colors should cost extra except for the tri-coat colors.

  5. I’m planning to consider the new XT5. It is very disappointing that they are choosing to offer only one color as standard.

  6. I too am a bit disappointed with the color choices . And why the 2 silver colors ? Looking at the pictures its like there are really only 3 colors , red , blue and white and the rest are all from the same color palette . I have seen a Buick Encore painted a dark Brown Metallic . That would have been a good choice to go with .
Maybe Cadillac got a good price from Dupont for using these same colors .
I like the Crystal White Tricoat ( that’s the color of my Terrain only its call White Frost Tri ) . But alot of people would like to see a bright white too . The only thing about the Black Metallics is that scratches don’t show as much with the metallic added . I know because I’ve had both . My other Terrain was Carbon Black Metallic and never seen those small scratches on the hood like you would with just a normal Black .
I do like the Adriatic Blue w/ a tan interior .

  7. Not just Cadillac, but most present day car manufacturers seem to be in a rut when it comes to both exterior and interior colors offered; we seem to be regressing to the Henry Ford era of ‘any color you want, as long as it’s black’. For those of us that grew up in the ’50’s with all the varied colors and combinations, it’s as though we have gone from ‘Glorious Technicolor’ to black & white TV.

  8. Why are all the colors anymore cost more? What happened to getting the paint when you bought the vehicle

  9. Cadillac CT5 NEEDS a non metallic Black and a simple white which I haven’t seen in years. These poor color choices will turn people away. Who’s making these choices anyway? I personally know someone who wanted a plain white ATS coupe and walked away a bought a BMW because he couldn’t get white.

    1. Spot on on the plain/non-metallic white and black. Also know two people, each wanting a plain white ATS and CTS, respectively. The first bought a 3 Series and the other is still waiting, since he’s not in a rush.

  12. I want a butter yellow Cadillac, why oh why does GM offer only these boring 7 colors, lets get creative, step outside the box. Make buying a Caddy special. I don’t want to go to the parking lot and look for my new Caddy and just see a sea of silver, black or white, BORING. GM needs to hire a new color technician, someone with a sense of special.

  13. Why is almost every color an additional $1,000? Why not just add $1,000 to the price–instead of nickel-dining us?? What’s next–addl charges for the wheels, seats, and tires??
Uh-oh- we have those already !!! DMD

  15. Apparently they only offer one color; silver. And this is supposed to be an upscale offering ???!! Might want to rethink this Cadillac.

  16. Will Cadillac offer Moonstone metallic on the XT 5

  17. pretty much agree with all the above, sad that Cadillac has no outstanding colors, I want a BUTTER YELLOW also, wouldn’t that be something different to look at, not your standard, black, silver & white, GM needs to go to a new paint supplier. Take a risk GM, might be worth it.
