The automobile industry has seen some of the most disruptive years throughout the industry’s entire lifecycle in the recent past, and manufacturers know it. Quickly, automakers are positioning themselves for successful futures that rely less on personal ownership, and more on personal mobility.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra will hit all of the topics listed above while she delivers the keynote address at the 16th annual Car-Symposium in Bochum, Germany. Barra will speak on behalf of Opel and GM.
“The automotive industry will see more changes in the next five years than in the previous 50 years,” said Barra. “General Motors and Opel are well-positioned to lead this change, which will encompass everything from electric vehicles and seamless connectivity to car-sharing and ultimately autonomous driving.”
During the address, Barra will lay out Opel and GM are positioned to lead the charge, and disrupt the industry itself on February 11.
