Flashback To MotorWeek’s Review Of The 1967 Pontiac GTO: Video

In this “Retro ReNew” video you’ll see MotorWeek’s review of the 1967 Pontiac GTO, talk about a flashback.

Despite it being old and having been filmed with the equivalent of a camera you’d get in a McDonald’s happy meal, the video of the Pontiac muscle car rifling down the 1/4 mile is still very much enjoyable. It reminds us of what once was a major part of the automotive industry, and to an extent still is.

Performance has evolved into what we now see with the Chevrolet C7 Corvette and 2016 Camaro, and it’s easy to see that we’ve come a long way. That’s not to say that the GOAT is anything to be overlooked just because it’s “old” – after all, we’re still talking about it today.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!

  1. This is when Cars were Cars, & GM was a (the) giant in the auto industry ! They had a winning formula, & it worked ! Now, GM builds cars like appliances, with the exception of the Camaro ! We NO longer have choices -OR- options ! GM went from the greatest automaker to being a cruel joke. The excitement is gone thanks to GM discontinuing
PONTIAC !….(THE DUMBEST MOVE THEY EVER MADE)…BRING BACK PONTIAC !
AND TO THE GUY THAT TOLD ME TO STOP TALKING ABOUT PONTIAC…BACK AT YOU !
