The Holden Barina wasn’t always what we know it now. The subcompact hatchback started life as a Suzuki Cultus, or better known as Geo Metro in the United States. Why? Because Barina Girl was born in 1998 alongside the Holden Barina. We’ve attached what we think is probably the most cringe-worthy of Barina Girl ads, featuring some very late-1990s electronic music, a birthday party and a cake fiasco.
Barina Girl is edgy, trendy and she knows how to be resourceful with her Barina. When the mixer decided to call it quits, Barina Girl has a better idea to ensure her party isn’t ruined by the malfunction. We won’t spoil it, but it involves doing donuts in a 1999 Holden Barina to mix the cake batter.
