‘Bumblebee’ Spin-Off Film Set To Debut In 2018

Everyone’s favorite Transformers character (or at least our favorite Autobot) is getting its own starring role come 2018. That’s right, Paramount Pictures has confirmed a spin-off film featuring Bumblebee the Camaro as the main role.

CarScoops first reported on the news, stating the film focusing solely on Bumblebee will be released following Transformers 5 in 2017. Paramount stated a June 8, 2018 release for the spin-off film.

That means, Chevrolet and the film team are likely well underway in creating a new iteration of Bumblebee for the Autobot’s close-up. Bumblebee has taken the form of a custom fifth-generation Camaro, a classic first-generation Camaro and the most recent, modern interpretation of the classic pony car.

The report states no human cast has been announced thus far for the spin-off, but it will be interesting to see how the film transpires. After all, there’s likely more than meets the eye.

  1. It’s a beautiful car but those rims have to go. Some beautiful polished 5 spoke rims would set the car off.
