Action Express’ Corvette Dayonta Prototypes took the top two positions on the timesheets in today’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship tests at Sebring. The result sets the AXP team up well for the 64th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, which is set to go green on March 19th.
AXP driver Felipe Alburquerque led the session with a lap of 1:51.965 in the No. 4 Mustang Sampling Corvette DP, while Dane Cameron was second in the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Corvette DP with a lap of 1:52.306.
In GTLM, BMW Team RLL proved fastest after setting a lap of 1:58.780 in the No. 25 IHG Rewards Club BMW M6 GTLM, while the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari was second-fastest with a time of 1:59.073. The Porsche 911 RSR of Porsche North America proved third fastest with a time of 1:59.170. Corvette Racing did not participate in the test.
