Due to launch in the Spring of 2016, the all-new, 2017 GMC Acadia is just around the corner. It (famously) drops a size class, going from the full-size to the mid-size segment, sheds a significant amount of weight thanks to the smaller dimensions and the new C1XX platform, adds an off-road Acadia All Terrain package, while adding all kinds of new convenience features and high technology. But the good news doesn’t end there, because the new GMC Acadia is also less expensive than the model it replaces.
In fact, the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the new Acadia is between $1,725 and $3,000 less than the 2016 model across all trim levels, according to a pricing analysis performed by GM Authority.
Acadia Front Wheel-Drive
Front wheel-drive models are less expensive across the board, as the MSRP of:
- SL (base) drops $1,905
- SLE-1 drops $1,725
- SLT-1 drops $2,670
The range-topping 2017 Acadia Denali FWD sees a $2,970 price drop compared to the 2016 Acadia Denali.
To note, GMC has yet to release the base prices of the SLE-2 and SLT-2 trims of the 2017 Acadia.
Acadia All Wheel-Drive
All wheel-drive models are also more affordable, as the MSRP of:
- SLE-1 drops $1,725
- SLT-1 drops $1,570
Like its FWD variant, the range-topping Acadia Denali AWD also sees a $2,970 price decrease.
Like on the FWD models, GMC has yet to release the base prices of the SLE-2 and SLT-2 trims of the 2017 Acadia. In addition, the first-generation Acadia did not offer the All Terrain package, and the Acadia AWD is not offered in the base SL trim.
