The C7 generation of Corvette is well underway, and the 2017 model year is nearly upon us. The News Wheel has reported on the upcoming production schedule for the iconic sports car, and time is running out to place an order for a 2016 model year.
Production of 2016 model year C7 Corvettes will cease on June 24, 2016, and Laguna Blue and Shark Grey will be heading to the paint-hue graveyard with the 2016 model year. Buyers looking to scoop up a 2016 C7 Corvette in either color will have until May 12, 2016.
The 2017 model year of C7 Corvette will be very much the same, as the report states June 24 is also the day production begins for the new model year. However, new color options and any additional equipment will likely be announced, as always, at the National Corvette Museum Bash on April 28, 2016.
Buyers can begin placing orders for a 2017 C7 Corvette variant beginning on May 26, 2016.
As for the C7 Corvette Z06, production will not begin until September 5, 2016, meaning the Corvette team will be allocated a few extra months to decide what stays, what goes and what’s new for the beastly track machine.
