This doesn’t seem to be a sanctioned program by Chevrolet itself, but according to Inside EVs, it seems it’s possible to walk away with a 2016 Volt lease payment at only $168 per month.
The payment is much lower than a comparable Toyota Prius lease deal, but the 2016 Chevrolet Volt is using a few different incentives to get to the $168 figure. The deal combines the California $1,500 state credit as a down payment and $5,800 GM Financial CCR. Additionally, a $1,000 GM Private Offer was used in the calculation for the payment.
It seems the GM Private Offer is a certificate presented upon browsing Chevrolet’s official website, as some consumers have reported.
Typical 2016 Volt lease payments have hovered around $299 per month in the 11 states the PHEV is available in, but it seems if you’re quick, you may be able to score a killer lease on a very compelling electric-hybrid.

If this offer is true, then who go for an import when you will get a much better and economical vehicle? In addition to lower fuel cost, the scheduled maintenence will be a lower cost, too. And it is a true American vehicle!
But you can get a Prius in every state . . . .
