Opel is finally getting its sea legs over in the old world. After years of turbulence, and thoughts of selling off the European division, General Motors CEO Mary Barra and Opel CEO Dr. Karl Thomas-Neumann have put together an action plan. And, so far, it’s working.
The top 100 Opel dealers across Europe gathered at what the brand calls a “success congress” to bask in the continued growth of the German brand.
Neumann, Vice President Sales & Aftersales Peter Christian Küspert, CMO Tina Müller and Vice President Design Europe Mark Adams gave the European sales partners a detailed insight into the corporate strategy in their presentations yesterday afternoon. And we know there are some good things in the pipeline for the brand.
“Together with our top partners, we can achieve all of our goals. Today was like a training camp with talented players preparing for the upcoming season. The sense of unity and the ambition were literally tangible in the room,” said Küspert.
The Opel pep rally comes at a crucial time, as corporate brass hope for the brand to return to the black in 2016, although, Neumann has remained skeptical on the profit goal.
