Registration for the National Corvette Museum’s High Performance Drivers Education program is now open and will remain open until April 1 2016. The scheduled days for the program itself are April 28 and 29.
Held at The NCM Motorsports park, the program will offer on-track instruction with experienced driving instructors, and classroom sessions for fine-tuning and theoretical practice. With education, safety, and fun at the core of the program, students are separated into groups based on experience to help improve their driving abilities in a safer environment.
To go along with the HPDE curriculum, NCM will also offer touring laps during the scheduled lunches. They will be convertible-friendly, helmet-off, paced laps with top speeds of 75 mph. Gotta walk before you can run, as they say.
Pricing for the two-day session is $485, and all that’s needed to attend is a track-worthy vehicle (All convertibles must have an SCCA approved roll bar), SA2010 or higher-rated helmet, long pants, and closed-toed shows. You can find the complete technical and event information guide within the Drivers Packet, and may click here to see the track scheduling.
