North American 2016 Buick Envision Skips Out On FlexRide System

If you’ve paid close attention to the features and equipment gracing the North American 2016 Buick Envision, you’ll note one glaring omission.
The Chinese-spec 2016 Envision features a FlexRide system, which can tailor the driving experience to the driver’s preferences with Normal, Tour, Sport and Off-Road modes. Buick has confirmed North America will not be receiving said system.
Buick told us the system was less than desired following market research and customer surveys. Instead, Buick invested in other areas of the 2016 Envision for North American adaptation. That includes the HiPer Strut system among other amenities.
Buick will introduce the 2016 Envision through a very short model year, and will likely add additional options and equipment for a proper, full 2017 model year for the Buick Envision.

The should call the off-road mode “weather mode” because come on, it’s a Buick, even badged as a GMC there is no off-roading remotely going on. What sounds cool vs what is more appropriate. Either way, not an issue for NA market
Wow Envision looks like Chevy. I see a ONE GM (excluding Caddy) design language emerging where character lines match up between brands.
Not having seen one in person yet, but I`m not so crazy about the styling. Couldn`t they have come up with something edgier to rival Kia`s Sorrento and its Hyundai companion. While I can appreciate Buick not wanting to offend anyone by going other than plain vanilla styling, surely it could look better than this.
