It’s 2016, and that means we are rounding home to elect a new President of the United States. It also means the next President’s ride is shaping up, and spy photographers for Autoblog have spied the upcoming limousine for the first time.
Currently, President Obama is chauffeured in a Cadillac DTS-looking limousine (it’s actually based on a Chevrolet Kodiak medium-duty truck platform) but the next President will arguably have one of the more stylish looking limos in some time.
It’s apparent from the spy shots, that the upcoming POTUS will most certainly be hauled in a Cadillac, and it will take plenty of current design cues from the brand. We see quite a bit of baby Escalade and 2016 Cadillac CT6 up front.
Cadillac One, Limousine One or, colloquially, “The Beast,” will likely be able to withstand bombs, be bulletproof and feature plenty of Presidential gizmos the public isn’t supposed to know about. Though, we do know it will be the first Cadillac limo to feature the brand’s latest logo sans wreath.
The U.S. government sent out proposal bids for the 2017 limousine in 2013, and the latest state car will likely debut in time for the inauguration of the controversial candidate of your choice.
