Hennessey Performance Engineering recently ran a stock 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS through some acceleration testing. The goal was to get a feel for the car prior to modifying it, with a focus on the 0 to 150 mph time. You see the Camaro in action by watching the video, and we’ve taken the liberty of jotting down the results for you below:
- 0 – 60 : 4.7 seconds (soft launch)
- 0 – 100 : 10.1 seconds
- 0 – 150 : 25.2 seconds
- 100 – 150 : 15 seconds
- Standing mile: Â 31.9 @ 160 mph
- Half mile: (unspecified) Â @ 138.3 mph
- Quarter mile 12.9 @ 115.7 mph
The Camaro’s numbers earn a “not bad” from Mr. Hennessey. For those of you thinking that the quarter mile seems a bit high, HPE did comment saying that the same vehicle ran a 12.4 at the strip. What are your thoughts on these results? Let us know by commenting below.
