GM-Holden Recalls 2012-2014 Barina Over O-Ring Seal Maintenance Issue

General Motors’ Australia-based subsidiary, Holden, is recalling certain 2012-2014 model year units of the Barina over an issue with the O-ring seal.
The problem: affected vehicles have an incorrectly-sized fuel pump O-ring seal that was installed during a service operation.
The hazard: in the unlikely event that a vehicle should roll over during a crash, there may be a potential for a fuel leak to occur. This may lead to an increased risk of injury to a vehicle occupant and may potentially pose a fire risk.
Affected vehicles: 2012 to 2014 Holden Barina Passenger Car.
- Affected Build Range is from KL3TA48E9CB042707 to KL3TA48E9EB631153
- Affected Production Dates are from August 28, 2011 to December 18, 2013
Number of vehicles affected: unspecified.
The fix: GM Holden will write to all affected customers to notify them of required action.
