General Motors has received the 2015 IHS Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer award. As the only “fact-based” award of its nature, it is presented annually to brands that demonstrate the ability to retain owners over repeat buying cycles. This is determined when a household that owns a new vehicle returns to market and purchases or leases another new vehicle of the same make.
“GM’s commitment to putting the customer at the center of everything we do is absolute and we know that is key to building owner loyalty,” said Alan Batey, president of General Motors North America. “Our brands have done a tremendous job of drawing customers back to our showrooms by earning their trust with exceptional products and ownership experiences.”
To go along with the overall manufacturer award, GM brands Chevrolet and GMC also earned recognition. The Chevrolet Corvette was number one in the Luxury Sports Car Segment for a second year in a row, the Colorado was named top Non-Luxury Mid-Size Pickup, and the GMC Yukon Denali XL was awarded top Non-Luxury Full-Size SUV. Incase you were wondering, vehicle segment winners are determined based on segment share of the market.
