General Motors and its Chinese joint ventures sold 445,227 vehicles in the domestic market in December 2015. The results represent an increase of 14 percent compared to December 2014, while also setting a new all-time monthly record.
Contrary to the norm, the automaker did not release any more details about its December 2015 sales results, but did state that the all-new Buick Verano (pictured above) recorded 12,053 sales during the month.
About The Numbers
Starting in April 2015, GM began reporting retail sales results rather than wholesales in China. As such, the figures referenced above are retail sales.
Comments
And then their stock market dropped 12% this week. Yipes.
I think that GM made a bad decision to eliminate the Verano. It was a great car that GM failed to promote. Advertising sucked big time for Buick overall. Everyone I know who owns one absolutely loves the car. Small car that it is, it rides like a bigger car and is well made. They should fire the advertising people instead!
