Our own Manoli Katakis was in Monaco last summer, and in the winding city roads full of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and Mercedes-Benzes… not once did he see a Chevrolet Camaro. Indeed, finding a middle-class muscle car is a rare sight in a place where people can afford virtually anything. So when a video surfaced of a Knight-Rider-themed Camaro SS Convertible making its way around the circular drive in front of the Monaco Casino, we had to pause and watch.
A light bar between the headlamps has earned this car the KITT Camaro moniker, and it does bear a striking resemblance. The blacked-out ensemble is also Knight Rider-esque. We give the owner props to one snazzy looking (and sounding) Camaro. Sure, it’s no Pontiac Trans Am like the original, but it’s close enough. It would have been even cooler, though, if a voice recording of KITT was implemented to go along with those looks – the idea is very appealing to the nerd in all of us.
