Ellie Kemper Stars Alongside The 2016 Buick Cascada In Latest Digital Ad Campaign

Ellie Kemper, or Erin from The Office, as we’ll forever remember her, has landed her latest role starring alongside the 2016 Buick Cascada.

Kemper and the 2016 Cascada will star in a digital-only ad campaign in a series of lighthearted and humorous scenarios on YouTube.

“Our Ellie Kemper series invites viewers to join her in discovering the new Cascada and today’s modern, approachable Buick brand,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. Vice President of Buick and GMC Sales, Service and Marketing. “This innovative digital-only campaign is another example of how Buick surprises consumers and reach audiences in exciting new ways.”

After watching the feature advertisement, which runs a tad over three minutes, we think it’s very well done. Kemper comes off as genuinely funny, and never does it really feel like the viewer is being sold to. The ad portrays very approachable branding, and it feels like an excellent extension from the “That’s A Buick” advertisements.

  1. Someone call OnStar.

This brand is lost and needs turn-by-turn directions to get back on track.

    I hope this isn’t a preview of Buick’s $5m Super Bowl commercial.

    1. The brand is fine. The problem is this specific campaign… because there’s not enough clean grass to wipe your feet on after you’ve seen half of this shinola.

I didn’t make it to the end. Did the new couple drive up to a home most people in America can’t afford and a wide smiling black servant opened the door and said, “Dinnaz ready!” ?

      1. Well, I’m not sure how fine the brand is. One vehicle (Encore) in positive territory in ’15. Ok, Enclave, barely, in the SUV gold rush.

But that three minute film is almost full-line: Cascada, Regal, Encore and Enclave.

The vehicles aren’t filmed well, starting with the deadly, badly lit profile of the Cascada. Not it’s most flattering angle.

Really, they should pull this before it does more damage: unflattering car shots, bad on-screen performances, inauthenticity which I’d guess the market will smell a mile away.

Tease us with cool stuff like the Avista, and then whack us on the side of the head with this?? Wtf?

  2. This Oxy Cleaned ‘Good Morning America’ ideal is so nauseating it defies belief.

‘Little Girl’ with red hair dreams handsome hunk (part brainiac/part biker) will fall in love with her so that she can crap out a bunch of adorable clones of herself.

That’s about as progressive as Ted Cruz… and as ‘in touch’ with the times as VHS.

Oh, and Earth to GM: that dude is GAY.

  3. Dump it ! It looks like a Chrysler product ! Also, for “the guy” that told Me not to talk about PONTIAC,….Why do I need “some man” telling Me what to do ? ? ?…..
    I DON’T TAKE ORDERS FROM YOU, MISTER ! ! !
To everyone else, Thank You ! I will “continue” to talk about PONTIAC whenever I feel like it !
