What’s better than a poster of Farrah Fawcett in your bedroom? Why, the 1970 C3 Corvette she had custom made, of course!
Barrett-Jackson has added this 1970 C3 Corvette to its consignment of vehicles for the Scottsdale 2016 showing and, when we say “custom”, we mean custom.
The design was done by the late George Barris, who sculpted the front and rear fascias of the 1970 Corvette for Fawcett specifically but, it’s the interior that should grab the most attention: it’s mink. No, really, the whole interior cabin is covered in mink.
Mechanically, the 1970 Corvette runs and drives fine, according to the listing. Even after years of preservation, the Corvette is able to exude a style only Fawcett and Barris could create.
Oh, and it’s a four-speed manual. Apparently, Fawcett knew how to drive stick.

Now I’m Like, “not bad, she had a bit of style, and plus 10 points because it’s a stick!”
I got to work with George he was a great guy but only he could take the credit for turning a Vette into a car that looks like a Monza.
Most of the great cars from Barris were either from his late brother Sam or Dean Jefferies and others that worked for him.
Note Farrah may have been able to drive a stick but many of these celebrity cars were never driven by the Celebrity. Most were used just for promotion on the show circuit, Model kits as I think this one was used for and other events.
Normally they would get the Celeb to pose with the car and get some shots and send the car on tour. After it was done they were often sold or rehashed into another show car.
These are hard to find today as many got trash on tour and many were scrapped or left abandoned as some were not even road worthy.
We have a local guy here that collects some of these neat show cars and we get to see them at the larger shows in this area. Several of his were made into model kits.
Farrah was on the cover of George’s hard copy book of classic Corvettes…this was NOT the one she posed with thou. Book is a must-have for any Corvette enthusiast AND Farrah fan like myself. Ive had SIX Vettes in my life, 87′ 96′ 99′ 01′ 05′ and now 09′
