Those of you who have been waiting very patiently for the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax Diesel and 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax Diesel, the wait is nearly up.
The Detroit News has reported that both trucks are officially on their way to dealerships across the United States, following a statement from a GMC spokesperson.
Both the 2016 Colorado Duramax diesel and the 2016 Canyon Duramax diesel were delayed at the final review portion of inspection from the factory. GMC and Chevrolet did not mention what caused the delay.
One thing is certain, however. The problem was not related to emissions or EPA certifications, knowing both the GMC and Chevy midsize oil-burner received a “certificate of conformity” from the EPA. Both trucks were in the midst of official emissions and fuel economy testing when the floor of the Volkswagen emissions scandal really fell out.
So, hang tight, your Colorado or Canyon diesel will be home very soon.

Any word on what the issue actually was?
I had heard it was a software issue
Hopefully the one fixing the six speed tranny
I ordered a 2021 gmc canyon denali diesel in hunter metalic exterior color. My question is why so few exterior colors i really wanted dark sky metalic color. I couldnt even special order it. That color is on all gmc trucks but the canyon. This is very disappointing.
