Chevrolet Turning Children’s Ultimate Dream Cars Into 3D Models

Chevrolet had a challenge for the young people of the world: design a dream car, and, in turn, the brand would choose a handful of winning designs and recreate them in real 3D models.

Winners came from various parts of the world including the United States, China, Korea and more. But, Chevrolet Thailand has highlighted one in particular. What you see up above is Kwin Onglaor’s imagination of the Chevrolet Supercar.

“The name of my car is simply Chevrolet Supercar. Instead of being just a car, it must be able to fly. It must also be able to transform into a boat and a submarine,” Kwin said. Kwin, who aspires to be an automotive designer when he grows up, said he was inspired by spy movies which he loves to watch.

Chevrolet issued the heartfelt challenge in an effort to inspire younger generations, and have them flex their creative muscles.

Jeeranut Sangdee, Director of Communications, GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand, said, “The intention of the challenge was to celebrate the creativity of children and their visions of unlimited possibilities that are not restricted by everyday realities. Hopefully this will inspire a new generation of designers.”

  1. This is really a good news for all. 3D model is a cost-effective alternative to physical models. Many firms have taken advantage of this new technology to replace traditional methods of physical modeling.
