If you cannot wait for more power from a factory performance model from Chevrolet and the sixth-generation Camaro, Callaway is here, and ready to coax you into the most powerful Camaro available right this moment.
The long-time tuning and performance division has dropped details on the 2016 SC600 Chevrolet Camaro. The SC stands for “supercharged”, and the “600” refers to 600 ponies under the hood ready and waiting at the tip in of the throttle, making the SC600 Camaro the most powerful sixth-generation Camaro available currently.
Forced induction comes from the Callaway GenThree supercharger based on the Eaton TVS2300 Rotor Pack, and is paired to Callaway’s triple-element intercooler to keep things cool when the going gets hot.
“While we engineered a complete package that enhances the new car’s performance, our GenThree supercharger is the heart of the Callaway Camaro SC600,” said Mike Zoner, Managing Director of Callaway Cars. “The TVS 2300cc based supercharger rises prominently through the hood, staying cool as it produces serious horsepower, run after run and lap after lap. The Callaway Camaro SC600 offers supercar capabilities with superb drivability and full compliance. It’s simply an amazing car.”
Speaking of the supercharger, Callaway has jazzed up the exterior with a ZR1-inspired hood. Although, to us, it’s not the prettiest of aesthetics, it was needed to provide clearance for the supercharger and cooling systems.
So, what will it run you? $54,290. That includes one 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS, plus Callaway’s performance goodies and the standard Callaway interior and exterior badging. Plus, the package is backed by a 3-year/36,000 miles warranty should any hiccup occur.
Callaway states it is now accepting orders for the 2016 SC600 Camaro, and the limited-edition model will begin production sometime within the first quarter of this year.

Not a bad price for near Z06 capability but it will have the same problem that plagues the Z06, putting all that power to the pavement.
An electronic rear diff can only do so much.
