C5 Corvette Convertible Submarines Through Floodwater Like It’s Nothing: Video

We’re not sure how the LS engine under the hood of this yellow Chevrolet C5 Corvette convertible managed to keep humming along after going through some very deep waters, but we’re still very impressed.
The owner, who was trying to get home via Interstate 696 in Michigan, faced severe flooding during an epic storm back in 2014, which flooded interstate highways with as much as nine feet of water. While it may seem incredibly stupid to attempt such a thing, vehicle owners who chose the alternative option suffered a total loss – hopefully their insurance covered it.
According to Autoevolution, videos like this Corvette would-be submarine you see here are beginning to get more attention after a similar video of a Lamborghini Gallardo driving during the San Diego flood went viral.
