This isn’t the first Chevrolet News C3 Corvette wagon we’ve seen, but it is certainly the most bizarre.
According to the seller of this 1976 Corvette, the Can Am Wagon conversion was done during the late 1970s over in California. The seller states the fiberglass work “was done very well,” and from what we can tell the body seems to be straight – it’s the paint that is uneven.
The interior isn’t exactly beckoning, which pretty much describes the overall presentation of this Corvette, but hey at least there’s a back seat. It’s got A/C, but the compressor is “missing.” On the other hand, it does have some pros. For one thing, its condition is actually not that bad for its age, it certainly turns heads (for varying reasons), it’s got a snazzy side-pipe exhaust off of a 1969 Corvette, glass T-tops, and it apparently runs great with a healthy 350 V8 engine.
See the listing on the wagonized Corvette News for yourself, which ended with the buyer accepting the best offer, likely well south of the $9,900 asking price.

Burn that thing and take it out of its miseries.
This is one of the better examples of this conversion that I’ve seen, although the “basket handle” rear wing removes any hope of ever using that rear hatch for loading anything in…But then again, no one was actually ever gonna do that anyway lol….Paint’s still good, seams line up, fiberglass not damaged. Put in an LS engine and some suspension and brake upgrades and she’d go down the road just fine…I would totally drive that in the Summertime…Just to flip everyone out 🙂
