2016 Chevrolet Volt Grabs ‘Best Car To Buy’ Honors

Following the ‘Best Car To Buy’ nomination for the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS by High Gear Media’s Motor Authority, the  2016 Volt has been selected as HGM’s Green Car Reports ‘Best Car To Buy’ for 2016. This gives Chevrolet a title in both performance and efficiency; continuing to build its case as the go-to brand for 2016.

GCR praised the Volt, saying it was very similar to the first-gen Volt with improvements to every facet of the vehicle. When you look at the all-new Volt on paper and in-person you’ll see that it’s true – the car is an all around improvement. It’s efficiency has risen to an electric range totaling 53 miles, and a fuel economy rating of 42 miles per gallon when the gasoline generator engine is engaged,  thanks to the newly developed Voltec powertrain. Yet there are people out there who have managed to allegedly get 111.9 electric miles out of the Volt on a single charge.

The modern styling cues bring the Volt up to date on both the inside and out. A hoard of new gizmos and gadgets such as OnStar 4G LTE and Apple CarPlay also help to modernize the car. It’s quite the vehicle, for those living in the 11 states where the 2016 Volt is currently available.

If you’re still unsure about the new Volt check out our first impressions of it, or better yet, have one delivered to you for a test drive.

  1. The Chevrolet Volt is a wonderful car. It is a technological marvel. I just purchased a 2016 which is my second Volt. I loved my 2011 and never had even one issue with it. They are a joy to drive and operate. I am getting over the 53 miles per charge with my 2016.
It costs me less than $20.00 per month in added electric but I did not purchase this vehicle to save any money. I bought it for the fun factor.
